My name is Mary Lee, and before sharing more about my work, I’d like to provide a glimpse into my background. ​ I was born in Napa, CA, and spent most of my life in Petaluma and Santa Rosa, CA, surrounded by a talented family. ​ Growing up, I had the privilege of experiencing the creative influence of my grandfathers, who were involved in the music and movie industries. ​ These cherished moments, along with the artistic contributions of other family members, nurtured my deep appreciation for photography and the ability to preserve memories that stand the test of time. 

The name “Mary Lee” holds special significance for me. ​ It was inspired by my first cousin on my father’s side of the family and honors my great uncle and aunt. ​ When deciding on a name for my business, I wanted something meaningful that reflected my family’s legacy. ​ Choosing “Mary Lee” felt like the perfect tribute, and my cousin Mary Lee celebrated this decision with me. 

Back to what I do! I am a professional boutique portrait photographer based in Willits, CA. With over 30 years of professional photography experience, I specialize in creating timeless portraits that capture life’s most meaningful moments. ​ My expertise spans weddings, large engagements, family and children’s portraits, pet photography, and high school senior portraits. ​ Additionally, I have worked with emerging music artists, volunteered for local school music programs, and captured sports photography. ​ My passion for travel and landscape photography allows me to draw inspiration from the beauty of the world, which I incorporate into my work. ​
